Overview

Have you heard about the Luton Safer Streets Fund? Luton Council, Bedfordshire Police, the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) and partners were successful in securing funding from the Home Office. This funding has been granted to make sustainable changes to areas of High Town, to prevent crime and anti-social behaviour (ASB). This includes improving lighting, increasing CCTV and also working with the residents and businesses to make it a safer place to live and work.

Why we are consulting

As part of the Safer Streets Fund, we want to enagage the community and empower residents in being more involved and influential in tackling crime and ASB in their area. This consultation is to identify if residents feel the area has improved since the Safer Street Fund initative has been taking place in the High Town area and how safe residents feel in the area which they live/work.
