Consultation on future of Stockwood Park Golf Centre

Closed 22 Mar 2021

Opened 22 Feb 2021

There has been a notable decline in the use of the golf club in the recent years before the pandemic. We would like to ascertain if there is sufficient demand for golf in the future, and if not, explore what other potential opportunities there might be for a range of different leisure activities that could be accessible to everyone.

This consultation is part of a wider review of leisure facilities in Luton.

If the consultation finds there isn’t sufficient demand for golf on the site, some initial ideas we are asking for views on include nature and cycle trails, a picnic area, a sensory garden, adventure golf and an outdoor gym. But we want other ideas too.

There are no proposals for using the park for any other types of development such as housing and no decision has been made to close Stockwood Park Golf Centre.

It is important we hear from as many people as possible, whether you use the golf course or not, so please take the time to share your views.

If you are a current member or use the golf course, please use this link to complete the survey
