Luton 2040 Vision Consultation

Closes 25 Aug 2020

Opened 20 Jul 2020

Overview

The draft Strategic Vision 2020-2023 sets out our initial town-wide vision for Luton 2040 – no-one in poverty.

The vision outlines how we will work together with our partners to lay the foundations for Luton 2040 over the next three years.  It sets a clear direction on how we intend to work with residents, private sector businesses and public, voluntary and community organisations to tackle poverty, by building a more inclusive economy and addressing inequalities, as well as ensuring we meet our wider ambitions to become a carbon neutral and child-friendly town by 2040.

Since September 2019, the council has been engaging with residents and partners across our town to shape this vision. Since then the impact of COVID-19 has reinforced the need to address the challenge of poverty and inequality in Luton.

Why We Are Consulting

To further shape the Luton 2040 vision, we want to hear views from everyone in our town on the proposed vision and strategic priorities, including residents, private sector businesses and public, voluntary and community organisations.

We would like to know whether you agree with the vision and strategic priorities and how you or your organisation can help to contribute to delivering the Luton 2040 vision.

We would also like to know what you think Luton's strengths are on which we can build.

This should take a maximum of 15 minutes to complete.
